The CPS was designed to address the need for a robust and accurate primer positioning tool for high volumes. The limitations of other priming tools are apparent to those who have used them for a priming session of 300, 500 or 1000. Manual priming tools can cause extreme fatigue of the thumbs and hands. This is especially true when you have a batch of brass with tight primer pockets. Benchtop units are often much safer, but generally much slower. They often lack the same "feel" that is achieved with hand priming tools.

Recognizing these shortcomings, we set out to design the best grooming tool in the world, with all the strengths of other units, but none of their weaknesses.

Good for right or left handed. The handle on the CPS can be moved to accommodate any bench position or priming style you prefer.

Speed, without sacrificing accuracy or reliability. Some priming tools are very fast. Others are very accurate. The CPS is the only priming tool that combines both functions in a single unit. Accurate seating depth can be achieved to within a thousandth of an inch, all while priming at a comfortable rate of over 20 cases per minute. At that rate you can easily lure over a thousand cases per hour.

Absolute precision primer sitting depth. Sniper rifle shooters know that one of the keys to reducing extreme velocity spread is ensuring constant ignition of the powder. The CPS has a revolutionary adjustable hood support system that allows the housing to be raised and lowered in relation to the primer rod. The primer can be placed deep or deep in 0.001 "increments. The adjustment mechanism features tactile and audible clicks to ensure you stay on the desired seat depth. One click = one thousandth of an inch adjustment.

Universal primer tube loaded. Almost any brand of primer tube can be used to easily and effectively load primers into the instrument. No more plastic trays to break or tinker with. As long as the tubes have an OD of .312 "or so, you can use them with the CPS. The unit comes with both small shotgun and large shotgun primer tubes.

Integrated shuttle power system. The CPS uses a manually operated shuttle system to slide primers from the primer tube into position over the primer rod. This ensures that any jams or misaligned primers are easily and safely detected by the operator. A light pressure of the fingers is enough to apply a primer for the sessions. If you slide the shuttle back as far as it will go, a trigger will be captured from its tube. If you slide the shuttle forward, the primer will be placed over the priming rod. This is an effortless motion that completely isolates the primer being pressed into the case from the rest of the primers in the primer tube. The manual operation also ensures that you can immediately warn of any malfunctions and allow you to stop in the event of a jam.

Benchtop for rigidity and stability. The CPS is a bench top priming tool. This ensures a controlled and static orientation of the case to be primed, so that if a faulty primer detonates, the explosion will be directed upward through the mouth of the container rather than in a random direction. Mounting on a bench also allows for consistent priming tool technique and operation.

Rotational drive system. Almost all other priming tools on the market use a pin drive system to provide leverage. The disadvantage of these systems is that the amount of force required to achieve the desired leverage changes across the range of motion of the tools. Unlike pivot-oriented designs, the CPS provides a precise and consistent feel throughout the entire range of motion. This, combined with the extreme strength and stiffness of the CPS, will make you feel "every primer" while sitting. This is important so that worn brass can be identified and knocked down when a loose trigger pocket is felt.
